  • Cooking Spray
  • 5 Egg Whites
  • 1/8tsp salt
  • 1/4tsp cream of tartar
  • 3tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2tbsp ground walnuts
  • 1cup whipped cream
  • 8 large fresh strawberriessliced
  1. Preheat the oven to 275°F.
  2. Cover baking sheet with parchment paper and coat parchment paper with cooking spray.
  3. In large bowl, with electric mixer on high speed, beat egg whites and salt until soft peaks form.
  4. Gradually sprinkle in cream of tartar and then powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Add vanilla extract and beat until shiny peaks form. Fold in walnuts.
  6. With a rubber spatula, form mixture into a 7″ circle on the parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 1 hour, or until golden in color.
  8. Turn off oven and let meringue cool with oven door open.
  9. Remove from parchment to serving platter or store in airtight container.
  10. Serve with whipped cream and strawberries
