  • 2 Lb Lean Ground Beef10% Fat
  • 1Tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1Tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 Chopped Onion
  • 1Tsp Worecestershire Sauce
  • 2 Crushed Garlic Cloves
  • 3/4Tsp salt
  • 2Tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2Tsp Red Hot Pepper Flakes
  • 1/2Tsp Ground Allspice
  • 6Oz Tomato Paste
  • 3 Bay Leaves
  • 4Oz Canned Mushrooms SlicesDrained or Fresh
  • 3/4Cup Chopped Green Bell Pepper
  1. In large stockpot, brown meat, drain fat.
  2. Add 4 cups cold water, cinnamon, cumin, onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic cloves, salt, chili powder, black and red pepper, allspice, tomato paste, bay leaves, mushrooms, and green pepper. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce to simmer. Cover and cook 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaves before serving.
