Ingredients

  • Cooking Spray
  • 1/4 cup salted butter
  • 1/2 cup SPLENDA Sugar Blend
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 3/4 cup Bobs Red Mill low carb, all-purpose baking mix
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
  • 2 tsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Lightly coat the bottom of a 9x9x2-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray, being careful not to coat sides of pan.
  3. In a medium saucepan melt butter; remove from heat.
  4. Stir in Splenda blend, 1/2 cup cold water, and vanilla.
  5. Stir in baking mix, cocoa powder, and baking powder until combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate pieces.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool on a wire rack. Remove from pan. Cut into 16 squares. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
