Mini desserts are popular for parties—try these chocolate meringues topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup granulated SPLENDA® No-Calorie Sweetener
- 1/3 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 4 Egg Whites
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup whipped cream
- 18 in Fresh Strawberries slicedhalf
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 225°F.
- Cover 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In medium mixing bowl, combine Splenda and cocoa. Set aside.
- Place egg whites, cream of tartar, and vanilla in separate bowl and beat at high speed until frothy.
- Add Splenda/cocoa mixture, 1 tablespoon at a time, continuing to beat for 5 to 7 minutes until mixture is stiff and glossy.
- Drop onto baking sheets, 1 teaspoon at a time.
- Bake 1-1/2 hours.
- Turn off oven and allow baking sheets with meringue to sit in oven 8 hours up to overnight.
- To serve, place 1 teaspoon of whipped cream and half strawberry on each meringue and serve immediately.
