Ingredients
  • 3lb whole beef brisket
  • 2cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1cup sliced fresh onion
  • 2tbsp quick cooking tapioca
  • 1/2cup water
  • 2tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2tbsp red wine
  • 1tbsp minced fresh ginger root
  • 1 chopped garlic clove
  • 1pinch hot red pepper flakes
  • 1/2cup chopped fresh green onions
Instructions
  1. Place meat in 6-quart slow cooker.
  2. Add mushrooms and tapioca to slow cooker.
  3. In small bowl, combine water, soy sauce, wine, ginger root, garlic, and hot red pepper flakes.
  4. Add to slow cooker.
  5. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 10 to 12 hours or on high-heat setting for 5 to 6 hours.
  6. Transfer meat and mushrooms to serving platter.
  7. Spoon some of sauce over meat and mushrooms and sprinkle with green onions.
