Ingredients

  • 3 lb whole beef brisket
  • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 cup sliced fresh onion
  • 2 tbsp quick cooking tapioca
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp red wine
  • 1 tbsp minced fresh ginger root
  • 1 chopped garlic clove
  • 1 pinch hot red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh green onions

Instructions

  1. Place meat in 6-quart slow cooker.
  2. Add mushrooms and tapioca to slow cooker.
  3. In small bowl, combine water, soy sauce, wine, ginger root, garlic, and hot red pepper flakes.
  4. Add to slow cooker.
  5. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 10 to 12 hours or on high-heat setting for 5 to 6 hours.
  6. Transfer meat and mushrooms to serving platter.
  7. Spoon some of sauce over meat and mushrooms and sprinkle with green onions.
