Diabetic neuropathy, or nerve damage, affects 60 to 70% of people with diabetes, according to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK). Individuals who have lived with diabetes for 25 years or longer are more likely to have some degree of neuropathy, though symptoms are not always present. Do you know what to look for?
