Make Your Workout Work for Your Diabetes

How to find creative ways to get the benefits of exercise.

Bored with your exercise routine? Looking to get more active, but not excited about doing the walking your doctor prescribed? You’re in luck! The best exercise for diabetes control includes a whole host of activities, not just the usual ones like walking.

As you get older, you really need to work on your balance and agility to lower your risk of falling—and activities like dancing may work better than walking. Simply expending more energy doing any physical activity (including active video gaming) can prevent weight gain and cardiovascular complications.
