I'm sorry Edy's. I am officially declaring you as a suspect in the wrongful and nefarious elevation of my son's blood sugar.

Your Dibs bite-size ice cream snacks are both delicious and convenient. Your collaboration with Nestle Crunch was nothing short of brilliant. But I'm afraid we may need to part ways. At 14 grams of carbs per bag, I thought maybe, just maybe we could coexist in this topsy-turvy world. But you went and ruined it.

You went and ruined it by acting like pizza. Normally, ice cream has little effect on Charlie's blood sugar. The last few times Charlie has had Dibs, his blood sugars went way up and stayed way up with no intention of coming down.

One of the many annoying things about diabetes is trying to pinpoint problem areas. Is it possible Charlie was high for reasons other than the Dibs? Sure.  Is it possible that Dibs are only guilty of being delectable? Maybe. I don't want to wrongfully accuse. Daddy likey the Dibs way too much to jump to conclusions.

Innocent until proven guilty, right? How many highs does it take for you to conclude that a particular food is responsible? In building a case against Dibs, I'd love to know if anyone else out there has had similar problems with this tasty treat.

All I had to do was see "DIBS" and my daughters blood sugar spiked. Ok, not spiked but was high from 4-8 hours post prandial!!! I HATE ice cream for this reason, too bad we love it so much. The answer here for us is a huge YES, I betcha it is the DIBS. Ice cream for my Maddison (7) keeps her high up to 8 hours! Tonight actually we had ice cream out (which for counting carbs is even worse) I tried a dual wave over 2 hours and added 20 extra carbs for the fat/protein over 2 hours. She was perfect the first 4 hours and then BAM!!!! She hit 244 at hour 5 post prandial. This will be a long night,by prior experience of the wrath of ice cream. I'm not sure if ice cream is worth it or not!
