Please send me yesterday's, Sunday, May 11, 2008 copy of the "Hearty Mushroom Bisque" that was featured by the chef during the show.

My mom has been diabetic since she was 16. We usually tried to focus on things besides food, like her favorite hobbies. If she likes gardening, scrapbooking, etc. get her a gift along those lines. If you want to stay close to tradition with a food gift try some fruit, or take her to her favorite restaurant. Try a web search for sugar free candy and see what you find. There are some sugar free chocolates that are actually pretty tasty.

Best of luck to you and your mother!

    Hello,
My mom was just diagnosed with diabetes a few weeks ago. It has always been tradition with us to get a Mrs Sees candy box for her Mothers day/ birthday (they are a few days apart)Does anyone have any alternatives so we can give her a gift that does not have sugar or sugar substitutes?
Its been quite an upheaval the past few weeks.
    Thanks for your help.
